Wedding Guide: 10 Wedding Do's and Don'ts

To the future brides and grooms, here are some 10 tips you must remember before and after walking down the aisle. Be armed, be informed.

1. Do arm yourself with a wedding day emergency kit. Come on, stuff happens. Your 911 kit should include sewing kit, scissor, double stick tape, stain remover, bleach stick, extra bra straps, toothpaste, toothbrush, mints, blister protection, bandages, blotting papers, lipstick, powder, clear nail polish, tissue, deodorant, lotion, aspirin, antacid, eyedrops and water.

2. Do send thank you notes. So be prepared with a master guest list along with adresses.

3. Don't Lie to get free wedding stuff. There's a funny saying that great relationships start with a lie. It probably is, saometimes, but don't  Lying makes one bride or groom not only mischoeviously guilty but can also be branded as  especially if the lie has been proven. It's tacky! Try to deal and negotiate.

4. Don't Overspend on the wedding gown if you can't afford it. If you can't afford a designer dress from Monique Lhuillier or Vera Wang, you can always shop for dress off the rack from stores like J Crew, H&M and Target. Go to your tailor for alterations.

5. Don't think bridal party has to look the same.  Bridesmaid shouldn't match plus they're not modern right now. Bridesmaids come in different shapes and sizes so let them pick the style of their own dresses.

6. Do go for a classic wedding dress, not trendy. Don't go over the top but find a dress that is timeless as well as flattering. The most important thing is that you feel beautiful in your dress.

7. Don't try to be someone else on the big day. Using too much make up or sporting a hairstyle making you no longer recognizable is a big No-No.

8. Don't seat battling relatives together. For those who were invited, don't assume that the couple knows you're coming to their wedding. You must send back your reply card before the "Reply by" date.

9. Do spend some 'alone time' before the wedding. After all those meticulous wedding preparations, you need to take a break and pamper yourself to regain a healthy state of mind.

10. Do enjoy your wedding day. A wedding day is not a fashion runway nor a big production that you have to always be on top of the situation. It's a reunion of love and celebration shared with close family and friends. Don't stress to much and just savor the moment.
